Air N.Z. Office

Although small compared with the offices of the major airlines in London, Air New Zealand’s premises in the Royal Opera Arcade are helping to make New Zealand better known. Mr R. Okeby, sales manager in the Christchurch office of Air New Zealand, has returned from seven weeks managing the London office which has a staff of two.

“The office only opened in May. It is practically at the back of New Zealand House and is in a very convenient position for New Zealanders in London," he said. Most of the work done by the office involved the booking and tickets of New Zealanders but there was some for traffic originating in Britain.”

Some English people were surprised when told they had to travel either to Hong Kong or Los Angeles before they could fly with Air New Zealand, he said.
