Capture Of Escaper

(N.Z. Press Association) GISBORNE, Oct. 12. The third of the Mount Crawford Prison escapers, Michael Keefe, aged 20, was captured by the police at Manutuke, eight miles from Gisborne, about 6.15 p.m. today. Keefe and a companion, Graham Roy Ritchie, aged 26, were seen by the Wairoa police running from a stolen car in North Clyde, Wairoa, on Sunday night. Ritchie was caught on Tuesday evening in North Clyde. In spite of police and dog patrols and road-blocks, Keefe was not seen until he was arrested in a vehicle at Manutuke tonight. Keefe was taken to the Gisborne police station for questioning.

The other escaper, George Kula, was captured in Wellington on Monday night.
