No Quorum Of Creditors

Alan Edward Joseph Turner, a war pensioner, 4 Amuri Street, Hei Hei, who was adjudged bankrupt on his own petition on September 26, had unsecured debts of $1825.17, a meeting of his creditors was told in the office of the Official Assignee (Mr T. A. F. Withers)..

The meeting was adjourned sine die because there was no quorum of creditors. In his statement, Turner said he had a back injury which needed a brace and he also had an artificial leg. He worked 14 hours a day as a fishmonger. Pains in the leg eventually drove him to drink and he was in hospital for three months. He was receiving treatment for bis leg and internal troubles but was

still unable to work. He had no secured creditors and his deficiency was $1825.17.
