Mine Inquiry Extended

WELLINGTON, Oct. 11. The Minister of Mines (Mr Shand) announced today that the Commission of Inquiry into the Strongman Mine disaster in which 19 miners lost their lives in January, has been granted an extension of time.

The commission, granted the extension to clarify a section of its report, is to report to the Minister by November 2.
