Pool Under Sawdust

Two children fell through a sawdust heap and drowned in a 9ft deep pool at the small milling community of Pinedale, three miles south of Putaruru, yesterday afternoon. They were Murray Ernest McAuley, aged 3i, and Marcia Teinaka Roqal, aged 4. The children, last seen playing on a sawdust heap at 3.15 p.m., were found drowned at 5.15 p.m. by mill workers.
