Basketball’s Big Need

Indoor basketbail would have to be played at primary and intermediate school level if New Zealand hoped to raise its standard to Australia’s, the national representative, D Norris, said yesterday. Norris had returned from the Australian championships in Perth, where New Zealand won one and lost three matches. He said that he saw nine and 10-year-olds playing in Australia with basketball fundamentals as. good as many in the New Zealand team.
