$3.5m Sought From Public (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 11. The rates of interest for the issue by New Zealand National Airways Corporation of $3.5m registered mortgage debenture stock range from 61 per cent to 7 per cent The rates are 6} per cent for the five-year term; per cent for seven years, 6J per cent for 10 years and 7 per cent for 12 years. The subscripion lists will be opened shortly. Reason For Issue The issue will provide funds for the construction of the 16-storey head office on the corner of The Terrace and Aurora Terrace, Wellington. This will cost $3.5m.

The whole of the capital of the corporation is held by the New Zealand Government.

The trustee for the issue is the New Zealand Insurance Company, Ltd. Stock exchange listing for the debenture stock has been applied for and Francis, Allison, Symes and Company, members of the Wellington Stock Exchange, are acting in the issue.
