Athetics To Begin Soon
The athletic and track cycling season at Westnort will officially begin on October 25 'with the first evening sports meeting of the year At the annua) meet in 2 of the Westport club, Mr A G Skin ner was re-elected president. Mr F. H. . Baunjber secretary and Mrs S Johnson treasurer Messrs W. Albrett, J. Todd and W Hazeldine were elected vice presidents.
A proposed North Island tour was discussed and it was de cided that a bus would leave Westport on Januarv 24 and re turn on February 4
Developments on a proposal to reseal the Victoria Souare rvcling track were outlined Tenders will be caPed soon It Js estimated that th* iob will be completed within three weeks of the tender being let.
