SLOW WORK ON COURSE
Six Holes To Be Laid
Apparently the only thing moving at the City Council golf course at Queen Elizabeth I] Park is the grass. The assistant director of parks and reserves, Mr A. G. Henderson, said yesterday that no further progress had been made on the course but there was a luxuriant growth of grass on the fairways and greens.
Twelve holes had been laid but no work had been carried out on the remaining six holes.
, Mr Henderson said it was expected that at the November meeting of the City Council there would be discussion 4>n the calling of tenders for buildings at the course and applications for staff. He added that it was not known when the course would be completed.
