Laramie Sore

“The Press" Special Service PALMERSTON NORTH. A pricked hoof may prevent a start for Laramie in the F. F. Newman Handicap at W’anganul tomorrow. In spite of a good trial at Awapuni yeste'rday, Laramie was favouring his leg throughout the gallop and unless the injury clears up quickly he will not be a starter.

Laramie worked on the inside trial. He completed his seven furlongs in Imin 30 2-ssec, the last three in 37 2-ssec. Two of the best prospects should be the stablemates, Comitis and Travistream. They galloped together over a mile in Imin 49 2-ssec, the last three in 41 2-ssec, and the first three in 39sec.
