Sire’s First Winner
Blue Prince was credited with his first winner when Goiightly won the Oamaru Handicap at ♦he Kurow meeting on Saturday.
Blue Prince, now at the stud In Australia, served a few mares when trained at Templeton by C. C. Devine, who trains and races Goiightly. Goiightly, which is much sturdier than when first produced at trials, is out of Spring Bae by Springbok from the Great Bingen mare Bo Peep. Blue Prince was a top racehorse for Mr H. S. Barry, of Auckland, who purchased him as a three-year-old. By Hal Tryax from Princess Sheila, he started his race career as a stablemate of Cardigan Bay with D. Todd at Mataura. ■
