‘PLOT BY C.I.A.'

Sudanese Claim

(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) KHARTOUM, August 13.

The Sudanese Government said today it was “the target of a plot by the American Central Intelligence Agency to overthrow the present regime and split the country from its Arab friends," United Press International reported. The charges came after a long report about the alleged C.LA. plot was carried today in “Al Ahram,” the influential Cairo newspaper. Abdel Majid Abu Hassabo, the Sudan Information Minister, claimed the C.I.A. wanted to topple the present Government and set up a proAmerican administration. United Press International reported.
