Suharto Sides With Army

(N.Z.P.A.-KeuUr—Copyright) DJAKARTA, July 12. The Acting President, General Suharto, last night backed the Army’s decision to crush anyone trying to restore the deposed president. Dr. Sukarno.

Announcing this, the commander of the Army strategic forces, Major-General Kamal Idrie, aaid General Suharto fully agreed with the Army’s determination, which had been announced in a statement last night. General Suharto’s decision surprised observers because of his known reluctance to take firm action against Dr. Sukarno.
