Visiting Horses

The presence of top Auckland horses contributed to the success of the Metropolitan Trotting Club’s Easter meeting and had a favourable effect on totalisator turn-over, said the president (Mr R. W. Saunders) at the club's annual meeting yesterday. A charter flight with

the National Airways Corporation for the Auckland horses was sponsored by the club.

The committee was trying to arrange another flight for the national meeting next month and it hoped that Auckland would again be represented, said Mr Saunders.
