Another Derby To Piggott

HAMBURG. The English jockey, L. Piggott, rode the winner of the German Derby for the third time and gained his second derby within 24 hours, when he won on Luciano on Sunday. He won the Irish Derby on Ribocco on Saturday. He also won Spain’s premier event, the Grand Premio of Madrid, on Thursday. The Australian R. Hutchinson rode Bussard into fourth place. Second to Luciano was Norfold, ridden by P. Remmert, and third was Presto, ridden by O. Langner. Piggott won the race in 1957 and 1963.
