B.H.P. FEATURES WITH RISE OF 4s 3d

The share market was almost in balance as New Zealand stock exchanges began trading for the week. B.H.P. featured with a rise of 4s 3d, to 86s, in active trading.

In Christchurch, after an early sale of 83s, the share showed a falling market, with sales at 86s 6d, 86s 3d and closing at 86s. There was one sale in Auckland, at 86s, and the only sale recorded in Dunedin was at 83s 6d.

Wellington showed a rising market; the first sale was at

83s, and later sales climbed 83s 9d, 84s 6d, 85s, 86s, to 86s 3d. The New Zealand list was steady, with 12 rises and 11

falls. British Office Supplies gained Is 3d, after release of the accounts. The overseas list was easier.
