Ice Skating Postponed

The national ice skating championships, to have been held at the Manorbum dam, Alexandra, from Thursday until Sunday have been postponed until Thursday, July 13, because the ice is too thin. At present the ice is only about tin thick, and breaking up fast. There is no prospect of an immediate frost. The ice has to be at least sin thick for safe skating at Manorbum. The dates are now July 13, 14, 15, and 16.
