ICE CAUSES ACCIDENTS

Mr G. Lang, of 8 McLennan place, suffered head injuries when his motor-cycle skidded on ice and he was thrown on to the road about 9 a.m. yesterday. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital, where his condition was reported to be satisfactory.

When a car skidded on ice in Harewood road about 10 a.m. and hit a pole, Elizabeth Vanvolanen, of 77 Godley avenue, suffered minor head injuries. She was treated at the Christchurch Hospital and discharged.

Miss Margaret McGonagle, a member of the staff at Sunnyside Hospital, suffered an eye injury when hit by a car when walking in Annex road about 8.15 a.m. She was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital, where her condition was reported to be satisfactory.
