Mister Hush Favourite

(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A) BRISBANE. The Stradbroke Handicap winner, Mister Hush, became an even firmer favourite for Saturday’s Doomben Ten Thousand when he was favourably treated at the barrier draw yesterday. The locally trained Mister Hush drew No. 6 at the barrier, his main rival in the betting, Nebo Road, drew 19. Twenty horses accepted for the race and apart from Nebo Road, another top fancy, Marmion, suffered a blow to his chances when he drew 16. The New Zealand-bred filly, Farmer’s Daughter, which was placed in the Stradbroke, drew wide at No. 17, but has finned in the betting after a a number of heavy wagers.
