Arms From China

(N.Z P A -Reuter—Copyright>

TEL AVIV, June 27.

Large quantities of Chinesemade arms had been found, by Israeli troops clearing up in the Gaza Strip, a high-rank-ing Army officer has revealed. He told reporters the Chinese equipment included longbarrelled 7.62 millimetre sub-machine-guns, anti-tank and vehicle mines and chemicals for gas decontamination plants.

The arms, found “in big quantities,” he said, were in field positions and stores in the Gaza Strip and in stores in Kantara, the Israeli-occu-pied town alongside the Suez canal.
