Tutta Tryax Wins At Auckland
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Tutta Tryax, which had been disappointing at his previous start, improved for a narrow win in the Northland Two Thousand, the feature event at the Northland Trotting Club's meeting at Alexandra Park on Saturday. In a blanket finish he scored by a neck from Whanga Earl. Superior Chief, the favourite, was a nose back, third, after getting none the best of the running. Porotl Pride, which made most of the pace, was a nose further back, fourth. John capped some consistent form with victory in the Kaeo Fourteen Hundred. The weather was fine and the track fast.
