DAMAGE TO CARS
Reply From M.O.W. An explanation of why new road sealing between Franz Josef and Ross had caused damage to cars bad been received from the Ministry of Works, Mr E. C. Champion told the council of the Automobile Association (Canterbury) last evening. In reply to a letter from the association, the Minister of Works said there was rain in th e area before the sealing and water had flooded the sealing material to the surface of the chips that had been laid. i
