Busby To Keep Law

The manager of Man Chester United, Mr M. Busby, has effectively scotched Australia’s move to have the Scotish soccer star, D. Law, play for both Manchester and Scotland during their forthcoming tours of Australia and New Zealand.

In reply to the requeM made by the Australian Soccer Federation, Mr Busby said: “I have no icr tention of allowing Law to join the Scottish team. He will be with the Manchester United party throughout the tour.” If the Australian move had been successful, Law would have played for Scotland in its matches in Australia while ManChester United were playing its two games in New Zealand, at Christchurch and Auckland.
