Water At Airport
The City Council would install a 100,000-gallon underground tank to provide a static water supply at the Christchurch Airport, Cr. A. R. Guthrey, chairman of the airport committee, said last evening.
This, along with wells that had been sunk in the area and pumps that had been installed, would bring the water available to a minimum of 2550 gallons a minute, he said.
This was more than the Christchurch Metropolitan Fire Board had asked for to meet an emergency.
