Head Prefects Entertained

The Burnside High School invited all its head prefects to lunch and to a special assembly yesterday so that “the golden thread” could be seen before they scatter. Those, attending were Mr Brian Hitchon and Miss Mary Travers, 1963-64; Mr James Bradley and Miss Suzanne Hay, 1965; Mr Ross Stevenson and Miss Ann Hamilton, 1966; and Kelvyn Sara and Lynda Robert, this year’s head prefects. One is now in accountancy, two are at teachers’ college, three at university, and two still at school.

At the assembly the board chairman (Mr B. Zeff), an original board member (Mr A. F. Foley), and Mr Hitchon spoke of the traditions begun at the school since it was established in 1960. Head prefects were not appointed until the original entrants, i reached senior classes.
