U.N. PACIFIC MISSIONS

Stipulations By N.Z. (N.Z. P. 4. -Reuter—Copyright) NEW YORK, March 24. New Zealand has told the United Nations that it may send a mission to Niue and Tokelau Islands, provided it is part of a comprehensive tour of the area. The chairman of the U.N. Colonialism’s Committee’s sub-Committee on Pacific Territories, Mr C. B. Gharekhan of India, said this yesterday. Mr Gharekhan said the U.N. had asked New Zealand about it sending a sub-committee to Niue and Tokelau. He said New Zealand had replied that the islands might be visited as part of a comprehensive tour of the area because it would be paying undue attention to these small Pacific islands if a mission were confined exclusively to them.
