Divisions In The House

Sir, —I trust our politicians are taking a keen interest in the television programme, “Slattery’s People,” currently screening from CHTV3. Especially they should take nutice of the efficient voting system used by the members. This mechanical system seems to me far less time-wasting than the archaic “Ayes” and “Noes” lobby method used in our own House of Representatives. By using this arrangement the affairs of the House could be speeded up.—Yours, etc. PARLIAMENTARY EFFICIENCY.

February 17, 1967. [No reply has been received from the Prime Minister, who was invited to comment on this letter.]
