(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) MELBOURNE. Sydney colt, Pratten Park (15 to 1) set a race record and equalled the course record for seven furlongs when he won the V.R.C. Sires Produce Stakes by one length and a quarter from the New Zealand-bred filly Quezette (9 to 4) at Flemington on Saturday. The favourite the South Australian colt, Manihi, ran off the course and finished last. Manihi will now miss the big Sydney two-year-old races and will be sent home to Adelaide, i Khalif, which won the V.R.C. | Derby ,in the spring, added the St. Leger Stakes to his record in a desperate finish from the I New Zealand-bred gelding, Garcon.
