Often Shot At Wife (N.Z.P. A.-Reuter —Copyright) AACHEN (West Germany), March 10. A West German who said at his trial that he used to shoot at his wife to calm her down was sent to gaol for three years yesterday for attempted manslaughter. Leo Cremer, aged 54, a cook, was charged with injuring his wife with four pistol shots in April last year when she scolded him over a game of cards he lost at a local tavern. Cremer told the Court he opened fire in an attempt to stop her nagging at him. He had often blasted In her direction, aiming to miss, he said. "This always shut her up,” he told the Court.
