Storm Queen, by Coronation Boy out of Storm Gdeam. has won 18 races to date, with 13 seconds and a third. She has won £39,954 and has been unplaced only once. Important races on tomorrow’s programme included the V.R.C. Sires* Produce Stakes, in which the top two-year-olds will clash, and the St. Leger Stakes. The highlight of the Sires’ Produce Stakes win be the rematch of the South Australian colt, Manihi, and the New Zea-land-bred filly Quezette. Quezette won their last meeting, when Manihl ran off the course at the home turn at Cauleld, but the colt is fancied to win this time.

The Victoria Derby winner Khalif is favourite for the St. Leger, over Golden Boy and the New Zealand-bred Garcon.

Garcon will be ridden by M. Schumacher, who is still seeking his first win since returning to the saddle after five years and a half disqualification.
