THIRD CHAIR IN BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES La Trobe University will ad mit its first students in March, 1967, in courses in the Schools of Humanities, Social Sciences, Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences. In order to complete the basic staff structure of the School of Biological Sciences, the University invites applications for the third chair in that School. Professor A. B. Wardrop, whose interests are tn cellular I ultrastructure, and Professor P. 1 A. Parsons, whose interests are ; In Genetics, have taken up 1 their appointments. In order to 1 provide balance, a scientist engaged in some aspect of the < zoology of entire organisms would most suitably complement the other activities planned for the School. It is hoped that the new professor will be able to take up his position during 1967. Prior to taking up appointment, however, it is planned to arrange consultation between the three professors in the School In order to discuss the broad planning of the courses to be offered in 1968.
