SMITHFIELD MARKET

Main Grade Unchanged (N.Z. Press Asiociation) WELLINGTON, March 10. New Zealand lamb sold at steady to firmer prices for most grades at London’s Smithfield market last week, reports the market information service of the N.Z. Meat Producers’ Board. The main grade, prime 29 to 361 b, was unchanged at 24d per lb. This price, however is l}d below last year. The 281 b and under grade is 2}d cheaper than the year before, and the F.A.R. 2d to 3}d less. The other grades fetch approximately last year’s price. A few lightweight New Zealand hoggets sold at 19d per lb. Other New Zealand mutton was not quoted. New Zealand G.A.Q. frozen ox hinds sold at 28d to 29d per lb.
