Defamation Alleged
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Mar. 10. The N.Z.B.C. announced last night that a writ against it was isued out of the Supreme Court, Wellington, yesterday. The writ, on behalf of Clarence Montague Meredith, and John Clarence Meredith, farmers, of Orui station, Masterton, claims £lO,OOO damages for alleged defamation.
The writ relates to a recent item in a “Town and Around” programme on Channel One.
Malvern Building.—Sixteen building permits valued at £13,485 were issued by the Malvern County Council between February 10 and March 3.
