Taxi Hits Horse
(From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH, February 26. A Brunner taxi-driver, Eric Vernon Martin, aged 39, was reported to be in a satisfactory condition in the Grey Hospital last night after he had been injured when his taxi collided with a horse on the Dobson straight on Friday night. The taxi was damaged extensively and it was difficult to extricate Mr Martin from the vehicle. The horse was killed instantly.
