New Arcade To Be Built

The above is an artist’s impression of the arcade to be built in a reconstruction programme by McKenzie and Willis, Ltd., whose premises run from Colombo street to Hereford street. The arcade will link the two streets on the ground floor. The 15 shops in the arcade will Include women’s and men’s wear, souvenir, sporting goods and food shops, as well as a coffee bar. The new arcade will link up with the Strand and Plaza arcades.

The architects are Griffiths, Moffat and Associates.
