LYTTELTON MEN RETIRE

Two prominent Lyttelton men were bidden farewell on their retirement last evening by shipping and business associates at the port.

They were the Deputy-Har-bourmaster (Captain J. Duncan), who has completed over 35 years with the Lyttelton Harbour Board, and Mr T. H. J. Harkess, who has completed over 50 years’ service with Messrs Kinsey and Company, Ltd. Each man was presented with a gift by Mr J. J. Griffiths, the Lyttelton manager of the Union Steamship Company.
