FOOD FOR INDIA
International Committee
(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright* WASHINGTON, Dec. 27. Formation of an international relief committee to try to speed food to India was announced last night. The committee, a private group which would have public officials as members, would seek assistance from private industry as well as from governments, said Mr Paul Shosberg, adminstrative aide to Representative Richard L. Ottinger (Democratic, New York). Mr Shosberg returned from India on Saturday with Mr Rodney Clurman, of New York, who will be executive secretary of the group, the World Food and Population Crisis Committee.
Sir John Boyd Orr. a Scottish agriculturist, will head the organisation.
