Plane Twice Diverted

An Air New Zealand DCB, due in Christchurch at 3.45 p.m. yesterday from Sydney, will make its third attempt to reach Christchurch at 8 a.m. today. One of its engines developed a leak while over the Tasman Sea, and the plane was diverted to Auckland for repairs. It left Auckland last evening for Christchurch, but was forced to return to Auckland after it had reached Nelson, because of low cloud and fog at Christchurch Airport. The 135 passengers were accommodated in Auckland for the night.
