ZAMBIAN POLICY

Reappraisal Likely

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LUSAKA, Dec. 19.

The Zambian Government is undertaking a major reappraisal of her Rhodesian policy, and according to officials Zambian support for British policy on Rhodesia can no longer be assumed. The officials noted that Zambia had in the past supported Britain’s sanctions policy, in spite of misgivings on their effectiveness.

This policy is now being reassessed following the United Nations Security Council's resolution imposing mandatory sanctions against Rhodesia.
