Situation.—An anti-cyclone lies to the east of New Zealand. A trough of low pressure over th? Tasman Sea is moving slowly east. Forecast:
Canterbury and the Kaikoura coast.—Light to moderate north to north-east winds predominating; some low cloud and fog patches at first; otherwise partly cloudy and warm; isolated showers in the ranges.
Marlborough and Nelson.—Light or moderate northerly winds; north-westerlies in Cook Strait; mainly fine and warm; isolated afternoon showers, chiefly about the high country. Buller and Westland.—Moderate northeasterlies predominating; cloudy and mild; some rain at times.
Outlook: Similar conditions.
