Ronda Could Be Tapanui Winner

"The Press" Special Service

DUNEDIN. Cassbridge, in the Tapuni Handicap, and Ronda, in the Brooksdale Handicap, may be the win- . ning doubles combination at the Tapuni Racing Club’s meeting today. Cassbridge, winner of the corresponding race last year, made a fresh start at Beaumont where he was a fast finishing fifth over a mile. Lorastan, which has been racing consistently well, was second to Manners in the open handicap on the first day of the Southland meeting. He will have a strong following. Ronda, a close second to Disciple in the Beaumont Champion Hack Handicap at her last start, is fancied in the Brooksdale Hack Handicap. Glocca Morra, Golden Thistle and Dervic may be the best of the others in the second leg. There were a few showers at Tapuni yesterday but they did not affect the track which is reported to be in excellent order.
