2.7 m. Dollars ‘Out Of Blue’ (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, December 9. The Taxation Commissioner had refunded 2.7 million dollars to the H. G. Palmer group, the receiver (Mr C. H. R. Jackson) announces. He says the group had made a total claim for refund of sales tax amounting to 3.2 m dollars which was the sales content of 40.9 m dollars owing to H. G. Palmer. He was quite hopeful about the rest of the money. “This is 2.7 m dollars out of the blue which was not shown anywhere in my reports,” Mr Jackson says. The overall position of debenture holders and other creditors has been improved by the refund.
