N.Z. JUNIORS WELL BEATEN

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) ADELAIDE. The 18-year-old New Zealander, B. E. Fairlie, could not cope with the big service of the American, C. Pasarell, in the South Australian tennis singles championship yesterday. Pasarell beat Fairlie, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2, in only 53 minutes. Another New Zealander crashed heavily when the third-ranked A. D. Roche beat K. Woolcott, 6-2, 6-0, 6-0. Roche was at his best, serving a string of almost unplayable aces and leaving his opponent flat footed with brilliant passing shots. A third New Zealander failed later when J. Mitchell was beaten, 64, 10-8, 8-6, by G. Baulch (Australia).
