INTER-CLUB GYMKHANA

VI.G. Team Wins Again For the seventh time in eight years the M.G. Car Club has won the Griffiths Cup inter-club gymkhana, annual driving test competition contested by teams from car clubs in the Canterbury area. The M.G. elub’s team scored 339.5 points, while the secondplaced University Motor Club scored SISJ. They were followed by Bailies and Trials Enthusiasts’ Club (23«J>, Canterbury Car Club (192) and the Ellesmere Motor Club (100.5). The winning team comprised the over-all winner of the competition, B. Nicholl (Mini), and B. Stephenson (M.G. Midget), F. Hooper (Mini Cooper), and D. Florence (M.G. TF 1000). The winning Independent entry was G. Boblnson (Volkswagen). The contest comprised slaloms, garaging and parking, and acceleration and breaking testa.
