ATLANTA, November 29

The civil rights leader. Dr. Martin Luther King, has condemned President Johnson’s proposed cut in domestic spending as an open invitation to riots.

The President announced in September that 3000 million dollars would be cut from Federal spending in an attempt to cool down the “overheated” United States economy.

“If our country can spend 800 doilans a second, 2000 million dollars a month — 24,000 million dollars a year —to fight a war in Vietnam, and 20,000 million dollars to put a man on the moon, it can spend billions of dollars to put God’s children on their myn two feet,” he said.
