WELLINGTON, Nov. 23.

Extra silver coins minted last year had made more than adequate allowance for the withdrawal of half-crowns and there was no intention of minting any additional florins, shillings, or sixpences at this stage, a Treasury officer said today. Trading banks in Wellington yesterday reported that silver coins, except threepences, were short. A Reserve Bank official today referred to the shortage as temporal and not of serious proportions. §
