A. Lowe Profit Plunges
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, November, 18. The net profit of Arthur Lowe, Ltd., Auckland food processor, plunged £8585, or 70 per cent, to £3633 in the year to March 31. Directors say that the unexpectedly low result was caused by expansion into lowprofit lines, particularly highquality jams and pickles, reduced margins on spring rolls and take-away foods because of price cutting competition and lack of liquidity in the second half of the year.
