43,800 Visitors

The completion of the first three months of operation of the Christchurch Building Centre was observed by directors and exhibitors with an informal function at the centre yesterday. About 120 guests were present The chairman of direcotrs (Mr R. A. Husband) said there had already been an attendance of 43,800 visitors at the centre since its opening. Mr R. M. Taylor, an exhibitor, said the South Island was perhaps slow in establishing a centre but its standard was as good as or better than any other in New Zealand.
