Long Service
A dinner attended by the Bishop of Christchurch, (the Rt Rev. W. A. Pyatt) and his predecessor (the Rt Rev. A. K. Warren) was held to mark the retirement of Mr L. W. Broadhead after 38 years as church steward and trust manager to the Church Property Trustees. Mr Broadhead had also been secretary to the Clergy Pension Trust Board for 34 years. His successor will be Mr A. Heald.
