N.Z. Winners In U.S.
Lookout and Tutankhamen were New Zealand-bred winners of minor races at Yonkers Raceway, New York, at meetings held during the week ended October 1. Le Whip, Angelita, Central Range, Intrigue, Yakety Yak and Trysail recorded dividendbearing places. Gay Robin resumed racing after a long spell and finished sixth in a race won in 2min 3 2-ssec. Battleship (Smokey Hanover—Frigate) and Urrall were successful at Washington Park, where Smoke Screen was placed. Urrall won in 2min 2 2-ssec in a race of 4000 dollars. Bonnieburn won in 2min 3 3-ssec and Gemme’s Pride in 2min 2sec at Liberty Bell Park, and Elbee and Launder Scott recorded second placings. Lauder Scott’s race was won in 2min 1 4-ssec.
